Unhappy power loss

okay, Im not sure if this has been asked before but. Does the 2.5 have a fuel cutoff when the engine is taxed above redline or im i loosing compression through the piston rings. hope someone knows. later all

that i couldn't tell ya. All i know is at about 6300 the car will halt for a sec like i hit the brake but the minute the revs are below 6200... the car runs fine again.

Sounds like you hit the rev limiter. From my understanding there is a fuel cut off. That is the normal feeling.

yes there is a rev limiter to prevent you from over reving the eng, but not sure if it cut the fuel or the spark or both
