Default Hub Bore questions

What is hub Bore?
i was looking into getting some 17x8 rims off of wheel dude and it says the hub bore is 73 but the other rims i looked at are at like 56 i believe
So what is the difference? will i have any problems putting them on my 05 rs? im going to be running 235/45 tires.

Subaru hub bore is 56.1. If the wheels have that hub bore, they'll fit perfectly. If they are 73 hub bore, you'll need 73 -> 56.1 hub rings.

^ yup wheels with the same bore are called hubcentric
wheels that have a bigger center bore should(dont have to) utalize a hubcentric ring
it helps with vibration

FYI ... My local Discount Tire place had hubcentric rings for $7 for a set of 4. I learned this after I dropped $18 (price + shipping) for mine through the link above. I would definitely call your local tire shop to see if they have them before you go and buy them online.
