Default 17's or 18's @ stock ride height?

I have a 2015 Impreza N/A. Eventually looking to get RSR Springs or BC Coils, but for now with a wedding planned and a honeymoon shortly after I can only swing the wheels and tires. I'm pretty much set on RPF1's. Still debating the color. What do you guy's/gal's suggest, Silver or Black? Hell maybe even gold? Leaning towards Silver...

So my main question. 17's or 18's, and what tire size? Either rim will end up being 8" width with a +45 Offset. I'm thinking a 235/40/18 with a 18x8 wheel will look pretty decent on stock suspension. Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks!

Pick what YOU want! Not what others think they want!

Good Luck!

17s will probably save a few bucks when buying tires. And offer a smoother ride. But 18s look super nice on Imprezas. Not too big but not small either.

I thought of doing my stock 17s gold but ended up keeping the rims silver. I just think it makes the rims pop out a little more. Black rims will make the rims look tiny unless you have a big brake kit(or at least bright red caliper covers). I dipped the rims on my old X3 black and it didn't even look like it had 17" rims.
