Default video clip-whats wrong with this car?

this is my friends 88 accord lx, carbureted. it has been run VERY hard, at high rpms for extended periods of time, at times reaching 2000 rpm above redline. well it finally gave out, i dont know how well you can hear it in this video, but can someone please try to diagnose it for us? if we get in and drive it, it will pull up to about 3000 rpm, then will sputter and try to die constantly. there is a lot of smoke coming out under the hood, it smells like a mixture of coolant and oil, and the car was a quart low on oil. i think it has a blown head gasket, but i dunno. tell me what you think.

this is a compressed video, 2.9 mb. about 45 seconds long-- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/arimpo...s/DCP_1518.zip

that video was of WAY too crappy quality to determine much from it...

I couldn't tell if the smoke under the hood was blue or white, but there is definitely some sort of seal that has let out there(be it oil or otherwise). Is there any smoke coming out of the exhaust at all? If there's white smoke coming out of the exhaust, it could easily be a head gasket or cracked head, blue smoke would indicated blown rings or toasted valve guides.... but this leaks from the engine itself, too...

seems like a head gasket, to me.

it's a carbureated accord, it needs a carb overhaul. simple enough *shrug*

if you pull the air cleaner and **** offyou can prolly see it just DUMPING fuel down the carb, combine that with a nice vacuum leak and it'll idle whereever it can.
