Default Budget Bugeye Wagon

I more or less lurk in the shadows but figured I would post up my latest subi. Had a 03 sedan a year and a half ago and sold it. Regretted it, so got me another, but this time a mbp 03 wagon. Bought it from the original owner with all documentation of maintenance, even down to every oil change for $5,000. No mods at all and has 130,000 miles. Bought a set of craigslist rota tarmacs with tires for $450. Broke the wheels down off the tires, tig welded a little curb rash on one wheel, scuffed and repainted the wheels chrysler tungsten with a satin clear coat. Picked up a used 5,000 mile set of fortune auto coil overs which I just got installed and adjusted today for $750, and a set of black headlights off fleabay. Got a version 7 sti wheel I need to install still. Have an appointment for window tint as well. All in all, for about 7K I have a decent little unmolested bugeye with some decent parts on it. No engine plans as of yet since this is my daily and only car at the moment. I'm used to having a string of cars but due to unforseen circumstances had to lighten the fleet and this is what I chose to stick with as my main vehicle. It does need a passenger fender and front bumper which over time I'm sure something will pop up. I'm a painter at a hod rod shop, so body/paint stuff I don't mind fixing, plus it gives me a reason to talk someone down! Well, here are some pics, its not much, but its a start!

Plan to paint the skirts down the road and do a lip when I find a new front bumper.

First mod was installing the 17" Rota Tarmacs.

This is where the rear coilovers were set out of the box. lol

After some tinkering at work.

After the drive home tonight.

I gotta say man... you got a great deal on that car. I am selling an 02 WRX wagon right now and this guy must not have checked KBB or something. He could have easily gotten somewhere in the neighborhood of 6500 for it depending on the market. Nice work. No issues with the car when you got it? I loved mine so much. Great car for fun and utility.
