Default Should we machine these heads?

Hey! My middle boy got himself a newer Subie. 99 Outback model 2.2. How do these heads look? Shouldn't we have them machined, just cause we have them off and it's smart!? Pistons OK?

You should always machine heads when you have them off the car, its cheap and will offer you that added saftey gap

any engine with blown HG or overheating I resurface. Heads that just come off a good running engine I do NOT resurface it if it doesn't need it. Usually I will resurface if the surface needs to be clean because the HG dug into it, or say material is stuck onto the head or anything that may need to be cleaned if needed.
