Wow. That is a great deal for such low mileage and condition.

Looks like someone changed the carpet.

Has it ever seen snow/salt? Do you have the original timing cover or carpet?

I cant tell you if it seen snow or not but if it did then it wasnt for long.

This car on average did 3500 miles per year. Do the math.

Not sure what you mean by "Do you have the original timing cover or carpet?"

Not all STIs had blue carpet if thats what you're asking about

Timing covers Im sure are original.

I'm pretty sure all US 04-07 STI's have blue carpet. Am I wrong?

99% says someone swapped out their WRX carpet in favor of the blue.

Yes you are.
Some 06 and 07 came with the black carpet.
And No its Not because this one is limited.

+ I'll take a black carpet over blue anytime. Blue gets dirty so fast

The black carpet was not available on non-limited STI's FYI. All 04-07 non-limited STI's came with the blue carpet from the factory. Even the picture you posted, is of a limited STI

At some point, for some reason, someone swapped the carpet on your car.

Yeah, the missing accessory cover that can't be explained and the swapped carpet are confusing if this is indeed a "1 owner" car. You can also see he's missing the trim piece that covers the inboard driver's rear seat mounting bolt, which would make sense being that the carpet was swapped.

And an explanation for the carpet change?

Also, did you change the upper coolant reservoir? I thought only 04s and some 05s had metal ones.

Sounds like the seller isnt the first owner guys. The car was probably put back to stock, which would explain the sellers comment of "the car seems faster than stock." Maybe some unseen mods still there?

That said, for $22,500, its a steal. Lots of stis have mods done and are put back to stock before selling.

In the first post the seller claims the car has had 1 owner. When means it was always his. So he should know why things are the way they are.

Something doesn't add up here. Was this car a stolen recovery? Flood car? I can't think of a reason that it would mysteriously have WRX/Limited carpet and a coolant reservoir from a 2004 or 2005.5 car, yet be "stock."

1 owner means one guy owned it and had it registered

I took it as a trade and I'm not driving it. Not registered to my name. Just title was transfered.

As for a carpet dog took a sht on the original one. My guess.
