![]() ![]() Hey all. I have been waiting for this moment the day I picked my Lego up. Okay a little history: Bought the car from a guy on the east cost June of last year. It was in pretty bad shape but it was the exact car I wanted and it was way cheaper then anything for sale around here. Started off with just little mods that I had left over from a few cars that passed through the shop. WRX struts on lowering springs, short ram, borla header and a custom 2.5 exhaust I made using bits an pieces of pipe I had, the cat was part of an 02 wrx exhaust and a Borla muffler. Got some cheap Falken wheels and some tires of an old set I had it was turning out to be a great budget build. After that I just enjoyed it for a while and I had parts from my old wagon that I was trying to sell, including my RA Spec-C tranny swap. I waited about 2 months to see if I could find a buyer and nothing so I decided to drop the bomb on the Lego and go all out. I wanted to make something that was custom but clean, that had a sense of class about it and was never really done before to a Legacy of this year. I always knew I was going to repaint the car; it had dents on almost every panel and really bad rust holes in the quarter panels. I called the dealer and they wanted WAY too much for them so while rummaging through a buddies shop I stumbled upon a fender that had a really nice flare on it. Turns out it was an OE fender off an 89 Honda Accord. I took the fender home and cut the flare off and put it up to the car and not only did it make a great setup for a nice widebody but also covered about 90% of the rust I was looking to fix. Did some wheel calculations and found a set of 18x9.5 +15 MB Battles and ordered them up. Once I got the tranny swapped I fitted the 06 STi 5x114.3 hubs to it so I could put the wheels on. Later that week my buddy comes back from the pull-a-part with 2 sets of Accord fenders for $80 and I got started. On top of that the front bumper was also modified using portions from a 2003 WRX Zero/Sports bumper that we custom graphed into the front bumper. The rear Bumper also got special treatment. I ordered a used 09 Legacy GT rear bumper and integrated the rear reflector and center exhaust pieces to make a custom 09 Legacy style rear bumper. Other custom parts included a roof mounted antenna off an EVO X, Sporty leather seats out of an 01 Toyota Celica and just recently a custom WRX Hybrid swap with a custom rotated turbo kit. I built this car as a DD that I could do anything in, Show, Auto X, Track whatever. It's so far my most favorite car I have owned and it's also been one of the cheapest builds because I have put more time making custom items for it using parts most people wouldn't think to use. The Full Build thread from teh way I bought it till now is posted here: Girodisc Project Lego: Here is the mods list: 99 Legact GT Limited: Engine: WRX 2.0L Block N/A DOHC Heads WRX Cam Gears WRX Individual Coil Pack Conversion Custom Intake Custom Turbo Kit (Using Ported TD04 w/ Tial 38mm External Wastegate) Custom Front Mount Intercooler Kit Walbro Fuel Pump STi Sidefeed Injectors Hydra EMS ECU w/ Wideband.
