How long is the wait??? I'm trying not to rush into buying an exhaust but I like the look of the nameless and if others like the sound I'd go for it.

Personal opinion I guess... with filling the holes and all. The quads just look right with the new sedan. Especially the quad tips spectrum elite!

Don't forget guys, AQ Motorsports / Harman Motive is releasing a quad tip for the sedan and it looks and sounds nice!

I've had the Nameless axleback on my WRX sedan for about 5 months now. Imo it's not too loud at all. It is definitely livable as a daily driver. I live in California and many guys have gotten exhaust tickets whereas the cops have never bothered me before.

Heres my exhaust. It's much louder when accelerating compared to WOT.

I'm guessing that the Cobb exhaust is only for the hatch right?

Does anybody have the turboxs catback for their 2011 hatch? How loud is it and does it drone on the highway?

Default Turbo XS works for me...

I don't think you will be disappointed with the Turbo XS system. I now have four track days and about 2K miles on mine and am very pleased with it. I started out thinking it would be considered loud at some events where they have sound restrictions, but it has not been an issue.
Since you can see straight through everything I would say that the system has three resonators. I wouldn't call the two in the back (which are quite light), mufflers.

I ordered the CNT cb exhaust last week and it's coming tomorrow. I can't wait!! Sounds great on my buddy's STI. Not too loud so it shouldn't annoy the wife (and neighbors)

looking into the future... planning on getting 2011 sti hatchback and want the quietest exhaust possible w/out taking any SIGNIFICANT drawbacks in power of course...plan to run a stage 2'ish setup.

As of now, i personally like the spt exhaust best b/c it seems to be the quietest and one of the lesser expensive catbacks available. I'm 110% happy with my borla hush catback (w/cobb catted dpipe) on my 06, both in quality and sound. Would like something as smooth sounding and quiet, if not quieter for the next car - prob be throwing some kiddies in it in years to come. anyone know if Borla or anyone else is coming out with any "hush" exhausts ?

For those of you considering a TurboXS catback for their 2011 wrx hatch and 2008+ sti hatch, be aware that with the stock downpipe the exhaust will clunk on hard shifting. It is clunking against a bolt under where the heatshield used to be (you have to take it off). There is about 1/2" clearance between the midpipe and that bolt so with engine/transmission movement it will hit it.

I called them and they said that with their 3" downpipe there is enough clearance but with the stock there isn't.

I'm trying to figure out how to reduce clunk right now, I'm thinking of putting some exhaust wrap where it's hitting the bolt to soften it up.

Problem solved (or at least reduced):

Edit: Just test drove it, purposefully shifting hard. The clunk is still there but it's greatly reduced.

I'm having the same issue with my CNT exhaust. I'll have to give that a try. I'm also thinking of getting harder bushings for the drive train and exhaust which should help a lot too. I just have to save up the dough.

The exhaust wrap reduced it by around 90%. I think more exhaust wrap would completely eliminate it, I bought a 15ft roll I guess that wasn't enough. Either way the clunk isn't loud enough and doesn't happen often enough to make me spend a lot of money to fix.

something nice, I'll post pics when I can. Can't put them out prematurely, it will be worth the wait. It's drift season, so the shop is busy with that and making crazy GTR engines.
