Default Evolution of My 2004 STi - Now 2004.7 "Lucille" by Got2boostit2

Before image

After images. Changed struts, hubs, knuckles, rear lateral links to 2007 STi parts, street wheels for this year will be Enkei RPF1's with the 5 x 114.3 Gold BBS wheels being the track wheels this year. Love the change looking forward to experiencing some track days. Once I complete the 24 remaining items on the "list".

Not as wicked as others here, but respectable in my mind. Not a daily driver, but still a great car to have, mildly mod and enjoy.

I know that some may not see this as a "major" mod or upgrade but that's good work. Looks great.

Oh and with the 5x114s they do make a killer 17x9 RPF fitment that would look stunning on your STI. What's near term on your list?

Question and forgive me if i sound dumb, but the 04 STi has a 5x100 bolt pattern, not 5x114 correct? if so then why do you have 114 bbs lol? Did you swap the bolt pattern some how and if so details please lol . Only asking because i own a 04 sti.

He changed the hubs to the 114.3 so that's why his BBS's are 114.3

Is there any benefit to this? I thought the only way that was possible was with a adapter and apparently that would take away from performance. Yea im a wheel noob . Sorry for the noob questions and sorry for a somewhat off topic post. The car looks great though man and i love those wheels. Used to seeing them on time attack cars with huge rubber

Thanks for the compliments. Eliminating pad knockback at track days and having a better selection of wheels is the reason for my conversion. The difference in the size of the front knuckle along with having bolt in front bearings is enough to justify the conversion IMHO of course.

I was able to source parts removed from a 2007 STI so I only had to buy the 6Gun adapter for the ABS tone ring. Oh, and reselling my '04 parts pretty much paid for the conversion parts. All labor was free (performed by my old arse).

Here are some conversion threads:

Gauges, engine oil cooler, ACPT carbon driveshaft, some ported parts, suede steering wheel, pitch stop, some harder bushings, Car Lab X-brace and a hitch to tow my "R" comps to the track.

Oh and for the others who've commented I love the gold BBS wheels the best, but really like the Enkei's. The wheels are 8.5" wide and have RE01R tires 245/40/17. (thanks Tire Rack)

RCE yellow springs with non lowering camber plates and 2004 struts. I really liked the stance as well. Hoping I get close to it once the springs have settled into the perch, but may not with the '07 struts. We will see.

Most likely in two weeks. Have a couple of things to do ahead of that, images will follow. I want to measure ride height with the yellows and stock springs to compare versus the recommended T2 ride height.

Nice, I was considering doing the hub swap. Too much work and money in the end. Maybe one day. Anyway...nice car.
