![]() Alright so today I was driving along on the freeway and signaled right to change lanes and noticed that the blinker was flashing way too fast. I thought maybe the light had burned out which was highly unlikely since the car is less than 3 months old. After I parked I checked my lights and they were all working but the right blinker was still flashing twice as fast as the left one. When the hazard button is pressed all the lights flash at the same speed.
I did hit a pretty big bump today but I've hit worse. Could that have caused my lights to go crazy? PS: I do have hella supertone horns installed but they've been on for about a month and never had any problems with them. I also have a kartboy shortshifter which I have no idea how it could have affected my lights, but I'm worried the Subaru guys might use that as an excuse to fix my light. Anyways if you guys know a quick fix please let me know.

![]() This is a known issue on the 2011 models. Sometimes it goes away on its own, sometimes it doesn't.
Either way, take it to the dealer, and they will fix it. Thats what warranties are for. |

![]() Yeah I'll take it to the dealer. Should I remove my hella supertone horns first though?

![]() Sometimes if the blinker is blinking fast then there's an electrical issue with the lights. Some vehicles' get fast blinker if there's a burned-out bulb along the line. For a newer vehicle I'd assume something is loose with the bulb connections.

![]() Reposition the wiring harness going to the bulb. This happened on my 2010. When you go to change the bulb you will notice that the harness is at an awkward angle. Just straighten it out a little. I believe that is what the TSB tells you to do. But like Scotty said, there are a lot of other threads on this that likely have the official TSB repair listed. Do a search. Should pop right up.

![]() My 2011 does the same thing, I have the same mods, but the issue started before i had them.
I just get out, and tap the light housing, and its all better. If you get out and look while its doing it, the bulb will be flashing weakly in the front. |

Haha, I don't want to keep tapping the housing. Scared it might break if I do it too often. |

I think it may be in the relay or the switch itself. If the switch doesnt make pure contact then it will act almost as a short. Has anyone paid attention to how you pull down on the turn signal stalk? |

![]() I've noticed this on my 2011 WRX, no mods, hatchback. It seems after a few seconds it goes away and I can't reproduce it, then it comes back. Maybe someone will link some documentarion, or just keep being arse holes and claim you haven't searched :-/

![]() "Before replacing a head-lamp assembly for a Customer concern of a turn
signal that blinks too fast, check the wiring as it enters the turn signal bulb socket. There may be too much tension on the wires that could be causing a poor connection. Slightly re-routing the wire harness to alleviate the tension should remedy the condition. " |

Also: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ht=turn+signal http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...rn+signal+fast It took me about 3 minutes to find these. And I suck balls at searching. |

![]() I just got this fixed today. It's just the connection on the harness that's loose. Re-seat the bulb and that should fix the problem.

All I had to to was search "2011 blinker issue" on Google and guess what? STi fast blinker was the FIRST result in Google. I didn't even search specifically, I bet you could find an answer in five seconds with a thought out couple of words. ![]() ![]() |
