Default 1999 Legacy OB Limited 30thED

I need to replace the intermediate pipe and the muffler soon because the previous shop had welded everything together and cause a disconnect joint near the intermediate pipe.

I look online and see the Bosal had the part for nearly 150 and for muffler for 140. It said that is a Direct OE fit.

If any of you are out there and have been using Bosal as the replacement part, please let me know is that a direct bolt on (no need to weld) parts?

Also, there is a GT performance version of the muffler, will that fit the OB directly? Any picture available for view?

Advise needed. If I cannot find a OE part, I will probably stay with the Subaru OEM part which cost nearly double the prices.

Yeah, I *think* Subaru still sells performance parts under their Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT) band name. I *think* BOSAL manufactures the mufflers for Subaru SPT band name in Stainless steel.

The Subaru STP part number to fit your 1999 Legacy Outback would be "SOA8376400" although being so old you might have to ask multiple dealers to find one that has these available.

Here is Subaru's SPT web site link: http://www.subaru.com/subaru-perform...ce-parts.html#

try borla.com or stromung from boxer4racing.com. i am not sure if stromung still makes one for that year, but borla does. don't bother with SPT exhaust as it is expensive for little gain and it sounds odd.
