Default One month anniversary (Link 2)

Its been a month or so since I wired up the link 2. It has been quite the learning experiance, but the car still runs.

Here are the posts I could find.

Initial post:

Idle problem:

Timing Curve:

This is the first time I have ever wired up a new ecu or tuned anything. It took my around 4 days to come up with an initial map that didnt ping, but it was very very rich and had a very conservitive timing map. After changing some settings I decided it was time to try again. The second time it only took me 2 hours to come up with a decent map. After 2 weeks with that map I decided it was good enough and moved on to a map I could use with out a turbo (vacuum mode). Today the vacuum mode map is completely done. It pulls very strong throughout the rev range. It may be slightly rich (all i have is a narrow band a/f to tune by) and the timing should be great for all condidtions (this took a while to perfect). I ordered my Ludespeed stage II kit about a month ago and it should get here in a couple more weeks and then the real fun begins. I will finally have a real gauge (EGT) to tune off of as well! I'm going to use the vacuum map I came up with and apply that to the turbo map to start off with. Thanks to everyone that has helped me! More to come when the turbo kit gets here.

You'll notice that with the turbo on, it'll take a lot less throttle to reach that 0 vacuum point. There's going to be less air, so your settings are going to be pretty rich.

Just so you know
