Default Porsche recreates 1900 classic

Porsche will showcase the world’s first ever petrol electric hybrid at the Geneva motor show next week.
The Semper Vivus - meaning ‘always alive’ – was first introduced in 1900 by Ferdinand Porsche, with a full reconstruction having been completed by the Porsche museum 111 years after its introduction.

Construction of the Semper Vivus took four year. It will feature at Geneva alongside the new Panamera S Hybrid as well as a European debut for the 918 RSR concept.

Interesting....surprising how little the auto-industry has advanced if this technology was indeed invented 111 years ago.

Nobody wanted it back then is my guess, but think of how much more efficient the gas engine is today then from when it first started.
