There really isn't a decent kit currently available. All the companies that provided them either stopped, or went under. Most of us are eagerly awaiting Templars SC BTW, forget the rimmer kits...just avoid them altogether

well i was checking out templers kit..... it looks good and 3000 is a good price.....especially since i got done paying about 5500 for my SC kit for my porsche.....

but what i was looking at the rimmer is the fact that there might be somebody out there that may want to sell and get templers kit....if so, i may be happy to take it off their hands....

IIRC, there were less than 5 people who got a kit from Rimmer (who has suck, BTW) that worked.

And those 5 had to have shops machine the proper brackets for it all to fit I remember hearing of parts that were like 10º off!!!

I had one...
it actually fit without any maching or anything else...although it never really produced much power.
it doesnt even come close to performing like the turbo setup I have on my car now.

how can the performance be differ from a turbo setup to a SC?

boost is boost either way....i would think the SC kit would give you better performance with no lag and low end torque....

either way i still want a SC kit for the scoob....anyone know anyoen that wants to sell there rimmer?

thanks,
space

SuperChargers take power to make power. The turbo works seperatly of engine load.

If you run 4 psi of boost on an SC and 4 PSI of boost on a C car the TC won't have as much load on it creating that 4 psi.

Yep. I had to machine a flange adapter to have the sc's pulley line up correctly. The funny thing is, I got this kit used from another RS!

I was thinking of selling mine at the end of the summer. I'm gonna miss it =(
