NJ: 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero $5000
Hey everyone,
I have a good deal for a quick sale on a Saab 9-2x for anyone that is interested. For details, you can see the Craigslist ad. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2282458516.html I don't really check these forums much, so please just respond/e-mail using the Craigslist ad if you are interested. Thanks! Here is a copy and paste from the ad: What: 2005 Satin Grey Saab 9-2X Aero w/ manual transmission and 156k miles (For those that don't know, this car is the same car as a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon) Factory Options: Leather, heated seats, heated windshield, xenon HID lights, moonroof, rubber floor mats (also have the non-rubber floor mats too), 17" wheels Non-factory add-ons: Auto dimming mirror w/compass (uses Subaru factory plug for power and factory mount), 20 mm Subaru rear sway bar, Cobb Accessport (Stage 1: 91 octane program starting around 75k miles), Pioneer AVIC D2 Navigation/Stereo, Subaru factory rubber cover for the rear cargo area Summary of the good stuff: The car still runs great, and every factory option/feature still works fine...ac, heated seats, heated windshield, power accessories, etc. I am the original owner, and the car has always been adult driven, so I know where it's been and the whole history of the car. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 105k miles; spark plugs were done at 60k and 120k, and differential fluids and radiator flushes were done at 30k, 60k, 90k, and 120k. The car received an oil change every 3k until it hit 15k, at which point I switched over to synthetic oil and started going oil changes every 5k. The last oil change was done at 155k less than two weeks ago. The tires (Continental ContiExtreme Contact DWS) still have plenty of tread on them (put on in November 2010). Summary of the bad stuff: There are two small dings on the hood and a small ding on the left fender. The rear bumper is also scraped (someone grazed it in the parking lot), and wheels have some curb rash. The windshield has had a small chip on the passenger side for about 2 years now. The engine does consume about 1 quart of oil between the 5k oil changes; this has been the case since around 60k miles; before then it was more like .5 quart. The good news is that it isn't getting any worse with age; and I've been told this is a normal characteristic of many Subaru boxer engines (dealer says it's within spec and not an actual problem). Lastly, the navigation has been flaky lately...sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. The radio/CD itself works 100% of the time though, and the CD player is MP3/WMA compatible. History of problems (but have been repaired): -Windshield was replaced by Safelite a few years go due to a large crack. -A ball joint was repaired during the winter of 09-10 (was making a clanking sound over larger bumps) -This past winter, a bearing seized on the pulley assembly, making a whining noise. The pulley assembly was replaced and the belts were changed because they got roughed up a little. Other than that, it's been a very reliable car. Currently there are no mechanical issues with the car, and it runs great. I still average 24 - 25 mpg on a regular basis with it, and I've only used premium gas since day 1. The reason I'm getting rid of it is that I bought a new car, and don't really need a 2nd. What I'm asking for: $5000 for everything. If you would like, I am willing to sell the following accessories separately to you for use in your Subaru Impreza or Saab 9-2X -$300 for the Cobb Accessport (software is specifically for the 2005 Impreza WRX or Saab 9-2X, but it can be updated for other model years). -$100 for the auto-dimming mirror w/compass. (It may fit other years, but I know it definitely works find with 2002-2007 Impreza or 2005-2006 9-2X's.) I will even install if for you in your car if you want. -$75 for the rubber mats and cargo mat (works with 2002-2007 Impreza or 2005-2006 9-2X's; floor mats will work for sedan or wagon, but the cargo mat is only for wagons.) A few random other notes for anyone interested in owning this car: -91 octane or higher fuel is required. If you are looking for something that runs on regular, you want to look at the 9-2X Linear or the regular Impreza or Impreza Outback. -There were no modifications done to the dashboard at all to install the Pioneer Avic D2 navigation/stereo. It is very easy to re-install a factory radio or install a different radio. -Owner's manual, both keys, and both key fobs are present. -Car is owned by me (no loan on the car). I don't have any pictures of it right now, but I can certainly take some and get them to anyone interested. Feel free to ask any questions. The car can be shown in either Parsippany, NJ (during the week) or Englewood, NJ (nights and weekends). The price is fairly firm, so serious buyers only please. Thanks, and have a nice day!

Pics will be on the way soon. I'll have to take some tomorrow when I have a chance.
As far as mods, here is a complete list of everything that has been done to the car: -Cobb stage 1 (starting around 75k miles) -Subaru 20 mm rear sway (off of a 2002 WRX) -Pioneer Stereo/Nav -Auto-dimming mirror (also from a 2002 WRX) -Rear cup holders (Subaru Forrester) -Subaru arm rest attachment (Impreza). -Tires are now Continentals Contiextreme DWS -Valentine One hardwire kit (which I plan to just leave in the car in case it can be used by the next owner....just the wiring...not the actual radar detector) Other than that, everything is the way it came from the dealership/factory. |

Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah, I figure this will sell quickly due to the low pricing. If not, I don't mind holding onto it either; it's a good car! |
