Angry Stuck at inital IAM!

2006 STi is always stuck at whatever initial IAM value is! No matter what I do mild pulls, hard pulls, it won't budge!
I set initial IAM to 1 & flashed the ecu, but IAM showed up as .5

Anybody experienced something similar?

The IAM is a learned value the ECU sets the IAM at .5 and goes up after that. How long are you waiting between the times you are checking it? You might want to try the trick in one of the stickies How to gain 10 HP in 2 min. Good luck.

Yes I tried every trick in the book to no avail, it's been stuck at .5 for weeks now & I can't force it to be 1. The green connectors are always undone after flashing. I noticed that after some reflashes, IAM shows up as 0 even though initial is set to .5 & it also sticks at 0 & never go up.
I had a similar case some time ago with a 16bit ecu with IAM also sticking at the initial value of 8

The 06 sti is one of the years that when flashed, retains learned values. So in your case, set initial iam to 1, then flash ecu, then reset ecu and your initial iam should now show 1.

I'll try that! thanks
But it's still a mystery why IAM is not increasing
