I'm planning to do a Rolling code with NFC enabled phone, solves the most of the security issues : )

If a thief can scan your RFID tag (which is the biggest concern with RFID security these days). If they are that advanced, they should get your car. They earned it.

They put in all this effort to steal a Japanese econobox popularized by Mick Dundee.

That said, cool project.

Precisely how my dad's '01 Cobra got stolen.

If they want your car bad enough, they'll get it.

Once Im back home I'll try it, Next on the list is to be able to remove the key all together and go with the fob and push button

One more question.... I know just a little about RFID so it might make sense or not at all. Are these active or passive keys? I'm wondering if I could program the reader to accept my military ID due to them having what I believe are passive antennas.

Q. active or passive keys A. I'm not sure. (you can ask eBay seller and he might know) I do know that you receive one master key for every RFID brain that allows you to add different kinds of RFID tags. So if your military has a RFID built-in I believe you can add it.
