Default WRX muffler section on GC8

I'm sure somebody out there has tried bolting up a WRX muffler section to a GC8...
Does this work? Are there any fitment issues or can this be done as a simple drop in mod?

Well, if you look under there, you'll see that the exhaust hangers don't all match up. I believe enough of them do to make it fit, but you might wanna see if you can modify the ones that don't fit.

This guy in the Midwest forum is running a WRX muffler on his GC8. You could always ask the people there.

You have to have the flange cut and rotated at a muffler shop. No DIY unless you're a welder. And one of the hangers won't work.

I did it, all I had to do was drill an extra hole on the muffler side of the flange into the midpipe flange hole.
There's Enough meat there to put a bolt in the new hole to the stock hole.
As for the hanger, I just made a quick bracket out of aluminum
