Default Nathan Conley #116 videos from "Last Chance" Global RallyCross at PPIR, Colorado

I was lucky enough to be on the crew for Nathan Conley #116 at the "Last Chance" Global RallyCross event this weekend. I still can't believe how well we did on a shoestring budget against very high dollar cars with corporate money behind them.

We were begging for tires all day, swapping take off tires from other teams on to the 2 sets of wheels we had, replacing a broken axle, doing impromptu body work after an incident with Burke during the first round. A team of guys that had really never worked as a group came together and had the car patched up for each round. We had to go to the LCQ where the top 2 cars advanced, and we got in the Main event.

Congrats to all involved, I am still in shock.

Revolutions Performance rebuilt the motor, and with the help of J&S Polishing a new turbo kit was build in 3 days. As you will see in the videos below, we are making as much power as the factory Subaru Team off the line. Nathan had a great reaction to the starter, and we pulled a gap on the factory STi through the first 2 corners. This car is still setup for gravel stages, so it really suffered on the tarmac, that and the tires were used up when we got them, and usually showing cords after 4 laps.

Anyway, enough rambling, here are the videos!!

First round Friday against the Skoda, Nathan gave him a little "love tap" at the first corner.

First round Saturday pulling a gap on the Factory Subaru team, and then getting smashed by the Burke car on the last corner

LCQ Saturday, top 2 advance to the final

In the final Nathan had a spin and stalled the car. He was 1/2 a lap down after he got it to re-fire. He then proceeded to take the "joker" on each lap and make 4 perfect jumps. Nathan told me that the only reason he entered the event was so he could jump "Bullet" his name for the car. He was invited to X games in 2008 but was not able to go due to a wreck at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb that year. He had to wait 3 years, but he finally got the chance to jump Bullet. I hope he gets an invite to X games this year to jump again.

News coverage of the wreck

Nathan Conley #116 has been invited to X-Games! See you there!

If anyone knows of an organization that wants to sponsor an X-Games car, and one hell of a story let me know. We are looking for all the help we can get!

Lots of work to get done in a month

Cleaning up the wiring, removing the heater box, trying to cut some weight

Removed the heavy cat back exhaust, fabbed up a new dump

we are better off than the EVO that hit us though!
