Thumbs up 12 Hours at Sebring

Awsome race, just finished awile ago. Audi's cleaned house again. 1329 miles in 12 hours, now THAT is racing.

I love a race where they change pads and rotors when you pit. Who else watched?

Thumbs up

I watched the whole 12 hours on Speedvision.

Last year I drove down with a friend for the weekend. We stayed in Daytona Friday, drove to Sebring for the race on Saturday then back to Daytona to sleep. Sunday morning after the race we drove back to CT, did it in 15 hours flat (1225 miles in 15 hours, you do the math, that includes 3 stops for driver changes and gas.)

Speedvisions coverage ruled, my hat is off to them. Fine job.

Watched it flag to flag, and was throughly entertained.

Audi...damn...what more can you say. Its obvious they have the car to beat. Panoz...pfffft...come on guys you can do better then that. I was actually looking forward to watching the Panoz cars run. If nothing else they look hella cool.

The S7 was quite a suprise. But not a shock. Really i think it outclasses the Corvettes. And i ahve to agree with the anouncers...when was the last time you saw an S7 pull up next to you at the stop light? I really want to see more of the Japanese manufactures run in the GT class. In the US we have the Vette, and the viper, and now the saleen. In europe they have the Lister, viper, and to some extrent Porche. Yet Japan has all of these awesome GT500 cars fromt eh AJGT and they never run them outside of that series. I think they could do very well, and make a few teams cringe. Hopfully Le Mans will be alot more entertaining.

The BMW M3, V8 M5 powered GT cars where interesting. Like the guy from Porche of North America said...good job in reading the rules throughly, but you should at least run fairly. It was nice to see the Porche cross the line first. But i suppose in all honesty, porche cant really be one to complain, considering they have dominted the GT class, or rather the Porche class, for as long as they have. I think some stiff competition to up the anty may be just was GT needs.

I watched about 4 hours of the race. Pretty good racing for the most part. Still no yellow flags when I went off. Did they ever get any? The Saleen was nice to see. Im very interested in that car... not that Ill ever afford one, but its the closest to the production car in the series. Too bad about the GulF sponsored Audi though... if they could just figure out their brakes.....

According to the Speedvision announcers, Porsche is conveniently forgetting that they did the same thing a few years back.

What BMW is doing is perfectly legal. The rules are quite clear and whining about breaking the "spirit of the rules" is bunch of cr*p. Besides BMW is talking about building and shipping V8 M3s for privateers after they get the kinks worked out.

Frankly I am kind of sick of seeing 50 Porsches going around the track. It's about time that the boys from Munich fight back.

The thing that I thought was technically impressive were the quick change brake calipers on the Corvette.

Yes I said calipers. Rather than mess with the the spreader tools they just put on new calipers (complete with pads) with the new rotors. That was something to see. Quick disconnect brake calipers WOW!

You guys should have come on down! You could have stayed in the Audi Corral, we had space in the RV's! What a great race, though in some ways I'm sure you saw more of if than we did. Another GREAT 12hrs!

I loved the Gulf colors on that customer Audi R8! Gulf cars look so cool. GT-40, 917, Mclaren F1 and now the R8! I can't wait for the die cast to come out. Oh yeah, the race was good too.
