Talking Final Cherokee Trails Rally Planning

Hey everyone, I'm in the midst of final planning for my road trip from Richmond,VA to Chattanooga, TN. I've gotten a lot of info as to exactly where the stages will be run. What I need to know is what i might be forgetting for this trip. I plan to bring probably a tent, couple sleeping bags, slow/non-perishing food(granola bars, oatmeal, crackers etc.) anti-bear protection . I would prefer to stay with people that i know (from this board). If i can met up with you IN Tennessee possibly at the Whitewater Center on Wed orThur. morning. that would be spifferific!! I plan to be at the Press stage in Chatttanooga on Wed Afternoon, however i don't exactly know how long it will take to get to TN from Richmond. so if i miss it, i'll be there in the morning to see the cars off in the morning to the Service area about 60 miles away. Does anyone know what they do at the press stage? Is it like in the WRC, that they have a big ramp and a loudspeaker and lots of festivities?? I won't have a LOT of money to blow there, however I can pay for campsite fees, some souvineirs, stuff like that. Besides, I think tht it would be fun to be with your "family" for this glorious event, don't you? Thanks and I hope to see you there!!

There'll be a group of us staying at the Parksville Lake campground at the intersection of US 64 and TN 30. I'll be getting there Wed night.
