Default Tigwerks 321ss stock location up pipe

I am lucky to get my hands on this up pipe and be the first to review it. This is one of the finest quality and best fitting up pipes that is available! A true hand crafted part that performs and lasts.

This is a 321 stainless steel up pipe for a stock location turbo. 321ss is much better suited to turbo cars than other less expensive metals that just can't take the heat and abuse from raising power levels. There is also no flex pipe to crack and built in gussets in critical locations to add strength while keeping weight to a minimum. 321ss also retains more heat energy for better spool up.

The flanges are 1/2" thick CNC'd 304ss. They have been proven to hold their shape and not leak. No wimpy flanges that will warp, rust and leak over time.

This is a shot of how well the up pipe fits. The up pipe is only bolted to the turbo but the header-up pipe flange fits perfect without any bolts. You can see how well the gasket fits and there are no gaps.

The up pipe is on the other side of this flange but you can't see it.

This is a great piece and this is the only UP we sell at our shop. We also love the EWG version!

The quality fitment and finish on these UP's is simply unmatched by any other product I've seen in the Subaru world. No flex joints to crack and leak, nice thick machined flanges, enforced weld joints, and high quality thick wall stainless steel for strength and heat retention... it just doesn't get much better. The fitment on the EWG units is also far superior to other options I've seen.

FYI, we always try to keep these in stock at the shop so give us a call if you need either the IWG or EWG version.

Thanks
-- Ed

Interesting.
I would bet I am not the only one who would be interested in some details on the EWG version of this up pipe, what WG flange options there are, will it work with a Tial MV-R 44mm, fitment with common DPs, and even some photos. Hint - Hint

Ed, can you please provide some detail (besides SS alloy and lack of flex) on where this up pipe excels over others.

I'll snap some pictures when my next shipment comes in tomorrow.

So far we've been using it with the Tial 38mm V-Band but I'm sure Kelly can fab them up for sure with other wastegates as well.

The main points on it are the fitment, re-enforcement at the wastegate outlet, and a nice full size dump tube.

Thanks

after installing just about every two bolt uppipe on earth, i find it hard to believe that it doesnt leak... although, that being said... the fitment does look spot on... looks like i've got a new uppipe to recommend. What are the gains vs stock crap uppipe?

Not bashing, just curious. That seems to infer that every two bolt up pipe you have used, has leaked?

every non-flex two bolt uppipe leaks... they all seem to fit like crap especially where they meet the manifold. And yes, they were installed correctly.

From the pics, the tigwerks fits better than ANY uppipe i have seen to date. I would like to install one problem is, my current car doesnt have an uppipe... maybe i'll convince one of the locals with a stocker to buy one and i'll help with the wrenching

I can assure you these don't leak when installed properly. We always pressurize the exhaust system to check for leaks after installs and these seal up perfectly.
