Default How's the wind treating you?

I guess it took me looking on KSL to see the extent of the damage. Hope everyone is ok.

Centerville: McD's will need a new sign, along with In n Out Burger and many, many more. As I exited I-15 @ 8:30AM Centerville I noticed a nice tent across the front of one of the many Semi's parked along the road. Thought he had window protection in place of some sorts. As I passed I realized it was the awning from Iggy's rest 4 blocks away and had come across the off-ramp and on to the front of the truck.

I-15 Northbound to Centerville I was having a massive time keeping my suburban on the road with my roof rack and super size ski box on top. Thought for sure I'd lose the rack. As I meandered along a nice full-size Budget moving truck enters I-15 @ 400 North Bountiful and then a gust hit it. I watched it balance on 2 wheels and then back to all wheels on the ground. Driver quickly braked and parked on the side of I-15.

Metric Motors had debris come through the windows of a couple of customer cars. Luckily my scoob was against the protected side of the bldg.

Building behind my clinic had a metal roof before this morning. I could hear quite the riot behind my building. As I left after giving up on waiting for the power to come on the roof panels had been rolled into 2 foot cylinders by the wind and were twirling about the back parking lot, pounding 3 parked cars. Carnage!

Freeway sign for 500 South Bountiful I-15 exit was toppled by the wind. Saw one billboard that had been peeled of its one-piece vinyl advertisement.

All of the metal display sheds in the Lowe's Bountiful parking lot were reduced to crumpled tin and a semi-trailer in their parking lot was pushed out of the parking lot and toppled onto the grass.

2 enclosed snowmobile trailers in my neighbors lot had been slammed against each other and moved approx 20 feet. Another neighbor had a portable construction office on wheels parked next to his boat. Office was toppled on top of the boat.

Hope the power is back on in the clinic tomorrow.

Fun day in Centerville. Reminds me of Farmington '85 and missing 3 days of school with 100mph winds and 15 foot snow drifts. I know, old guy talking!

I had to swerve a little to miss running over half of the In n Out sign. The other half was under a semi trying to hide under the underpass. I also saw the canopy thing on the front of the truck, new it wasn't supposed to be there but couldn't figure out what it was. I think I took a picture of 5 semis on their sides and saw 3 other trailers that were just behind pickups on their sides.

Not a good day for those in the Centerville area. My biggest concern was my hood flying off as the gusts caught my fake hood scoop where the freeway heads east towards Lagoon.

Lost some shingles and a little bit of siding off my house. Oh, trash cans tipped over and trash everywhere. Nothing horrible tho.

A few trees were uprooted on base.
One large pine near the south gate came within feet of some cars in the parking lot. I bet a few people nearly shat themselves before letting out a sigh of relief.

My house in Roy is unscathed though, save for a **** ton of leaves at the bottom of the stairs leading to the basement.

My favorite story was my co workers. On his way to work he had to swerve out of the way of a full sized trampoline flying across I-15.
