Default 98 jdm ej20 short block with usdm heads

i have a 02 wrx and im thinking of buying a jdm motor I can get a 95-98 ej20 for like $450 what im asking is can i use my ej20 usdm heads on that short block and will my sensors go into that block any help would be great or does any one know were to get a new longblock ej20 usdm for under $3500

Will work but not with the stock USDM EJ205 WRX gaskets (0.8 mm thickness). The earlier EJ20G pistons protrude the deck by 0.3 mm which is why you need gaskets at least 1.0 mm thick (original is 1.4 mm).
