Default How to find gear ratio for my transmission so I can get correct rear diff!!!

Please Help!!!

I have a 2006 WRX Wagon with a Sti 6 speed tranny...I need to find out the gear ratio for the tranny so I can buy the correct rear diff with the same gear ratio!!! Please help!!! The dealership cant even tell me which gear ratio it is!!!!!!!

What year STI tranny is it? That matters. Do you currently have a R160 or R180 rear end?
Did you look at the sticky threads at the top of the forum as there are a couple that speak of ratios.

Take a look at the bell housings next to the starter. on that will be a sticker with the tranny code.

write down that code.

then punch it into google.
