The wrap is actual fabric woven to look like carbon fiber, and you can feel the texture on the weaves.

That's why I was considering doing either my headliner or headliner + sunvisors with it.

Or maybe switch it up and do the headliner with alcantara & have the visors in cf wrap?

I'm just concerned about how hard it might be to take everything out without damaging it as I've never pulled my headliner, or any headliner, out before.

The question about the glue type also. Not sure what will stand up to the heat, as my friend who works for subie specialties tried redoing her headliner, and within a week it was drooping down from the glue warming up and just becoming goo again.
Do you mean real CF but leaving it with no glue/clear coating? Or is it really just a fabric that looks like cf ?

Do you have a pic or link to what you are referring to?

Sorry, but hellas aren't unique, regardless of color or amount.

I like this idea, I may have a new winter project.
I wonder how the entire headliner would look in Carbon Fiber wrap, I would assume it would look pretty tacky.
I like that much better than the V7.

they're gone!!

to the point about execution being shoddy: yea, it was a misguided effort. i will say that any headlight work (baking, unscrewing, splitting, etc) is not easy.

worst of all, the plexiglass light lenses can be ruined in many many ways during the process- making the end result appear smudgy and less polished. my goal overall is electrical integrity and long-term water tightness....

Looks cool, though I'd only use them as DRL's.

I'd seriously consider that my friend. I don't know the light cutoff of those LED's, but if they're above the recommended height at x distance, they could potentially be dangerous for some folks who don't have auto-dimming mirrors.

Functional criticisms aside, I'm a fan of that quad LED look.

thanks man.

they're no brighter than the latest VW CC or Q7

two things:

- the LEDs alignment and aim automatically matches the projector lens angle, by default
- the headlights default placement angle (in the bumper) is tilted down 27-degrees

Nah, its a fabric woven to look like carbon fiber, not actual carbon fiber.
Ill have to find a link when I'm on a computer later today after work.

Proof of concept CF wrap:

Knocked it up in about 5 mins to see if I can get an embossed STI logo under 1080.

i snapped some pics this afternoon of the quad LED points setup as a DRL.

they look pretty unique in this formation, and a guy in Lincoln Park drove up to ask if the LGT was for sale..!

opinions?
