Looking at a 2002 wrx hatch with 230k miles... asking 3k... all routine work has been done... is it worth buying to drive for another 100k? Just wanna make sure i make the right decision

I would not expect another 100K, but if you do your own work and it's not rusty, you can upgrade it as parts give out along the way, while not making payments on a lower mileage example. Seller is at a disadvantage with that many miles.....

IMHO if the care was cared for properly, parts replaced and not worn milage is just a number. My bugeye has 113k and had to be rebuilt from the get go but now its an amazing car

Default Miles!

That's a lot of miles for a bugeye if the previous owner kept care of it than I might consider sayin yes

Thanks for the replies! I actually went with a 04 wrx wag! It's a jewel! One owner family man couple of kids, bone stock, 150k miles all routine work done. 6k!

Now I would like to tastefully modify it for low end torque for everyday driving. Starting with a slight gain by buying a Cobb air filter... Turbo back exhaust is in order for sure. Any suggestions for a cheap system? Or any suggestions in general? Thanks!

You're probably better off asking in the appropriate powertrain forum
