Default Check Engine Light Help

ON my way home today from the barber shop i decide to go get gas, then as im reversing the car stalls due to a bafoon driving behind me while im backing up.
Then the check engine light comes on? as i crank the car, its starts up pretty slow which scared the living hell out of me. what could it be? do i Need
New Spark plugs, Timing Belt , My fluids changed ( Rear Diff, power steering, trans)?

Check your gas cap. If the CEL happened after right you filled up, you might not have got it tight enough.

If you still have the CEL, get it read at an auto store then search for the code on here.

could be something could be nothing. I have had CEL's twice that where nothing. The first time was just a couple of years after getting my WRX in 03. The code was for a tumble generator valve stuck open. I cleared the code and it never came back. Same thing happend on my wifes 06 Legacy. We were driving and threw a cell. I did not have a code reader for that car and it was under warranty so we drove it to the dealership. They did the same thing(pulled the code, determined there was no action needed, and it never came back. But there could be something going on with your car. You could clear the CEL and see if it comes back right away. Or just have it looked at would probably be better.

Impossible to know what's wrong with the car without getting the code read. Autozone reads codes for free.
