Default ABS Light - Fault Code 52

I have an ABS light which remains on and gives a fault code 52 using the Subaru Select Monitor (abnormal motor/motor relay).

Technician has gone through the Subaru tech manual to diagnose what it could be but nothing changes. Nothing leads anywhere, motor has been replaced etc but still no difference.

Does anybody know what it could be?

Car is a UK (EDM) 2001 Bugeye WRX
