Default 1.6 & 2.5 Camshafts

Need help can a 1.6TS camshaft work in a 2.5RS or are they different ?

Pretty drastically different.

That dosen't mean that they definitely wont fit, from what I can remember of the pics I've seen of the 1.6 the head design looks a lot like the 2.5. OP do you have any pics of the 1.6 or at least the cams. also why are you thinking of doing this, do you know the specs on those cams.

Actually someone is trying to sell me a set of stage 2, 2.5L SOHC cams and they claim it works in the Impreza RS, TS, Outback, Legacy, Baja, Forester, which i found was strange, so i decided to pitch the idea on the forum to get some feed back.

What does stroke have to do with camshafts? I think you are thinking about a crankshaft.

If said person is from the US, all 2002-2011 NA Imprezas are SOHC 2.5l, including the wagon, which was called the TS from 02-04. Plus, there was never a 1.6l Impreza sold in the US.
