Default 2011 WRX, Steering wheel control problems

So I installed my Pioneer 4400 about a month ago, rocks and everything was perfect with the SWC and everything. Until a few days ago and the volume just shoots up to max level if I hit a bump, or now confirmed hit the steering wheel near the SWC buttons (vol up down mode etc)

Has anyone else had this problem? I don't think its the wiring as I can hit the wheel to produce the problem and of course volume up is the worst thing ever.

Is it easy to take apart the wheel?

It's not the wheel at fault its your steering wheel control module.
Try reprogramming it.

Can you explain why hitting my wheel next to the buttons make it seem as I was pressing the buttons? I dont think its the Axxess AWSC but I will try anways.

It is the Axxess AWSC and it is because it is either not wired correctly or it is not programmed correctly. When I put the headunit in my 2011 wrx and used the Axxess AWSC it was turning volume up the whole way and I believe it was because it was not wired in correctly.

Once you get it wired correctly, it should be able to auto program itself.

Ok, it's been fine for almost 2 months so hopefully a reprogram will fix it.

Incorrect wiring seems like a chance but I would lean toward the unit needing the program reset.

Also this belongs in the car Audio section, might get better answers there
