Product Information
The Crawford Performance Air Oil Separator (AOS) is the original solution to Subaru's notorious issues with coating the inside of the intake system with oil. Although the technology was pre-existing with other vehicle brands such as Porsche and Audi, Crawford Performance is the inventor of the first system specifically for Subaru. No other AOS on the market employs the same Dual Chamber technology.

• Not a Catch Can - Closed Loop and Maintenance Free
• Reduce Oil Consumption
• Reduce Detonation and Risk of Engine Failure
• Avoid Ringland Failure
• Reduce Fuel Octane Dilution and Subsequent Power Loss

Dual Chamber V3 Key Features
• Improved Dual Chamber Design
• Easier and much faster to Install, cuts install cost by 50%
• Right-Hand Drive Compatible
• Utilizes the OEM PVC system making it smog legal and quick to install.
• Does not require Coolant lines due to its mounting location and full use of the PCV system.

Single Chamber V2 Key Features
• Added Coolant Bypass Line to reduce Condensation
• Can is Heated for Cold Climates and Short Drives
• Bypasses PVC System for a race style system.

How does it work? The built in AOS that comes factory in Subaru Engines is only semi-efficient. Any added power/stress/heat and G-Forces increases the amount of excess oil that ends up in your intake. Due to the fact the oil is heavier than water and you're dealing with a horizontally-opposed engine, the oil can only end up in one place: coating the tops of your pistons. Since oil is naturally combustible, this causes irregularities with the controlled explosion that happens in this environment, subsequently creating multiple explosions. Another word for this is detonation — an engine killer. Stop the oil from ever getting there with the Crawford Air/Oil Separator. Having a secondary system is your fail-safe for detonation that is un-related to a poor tune. You will also consume less oil and help maintain the ultimate mixture in your cylinders to maximize your power output.

These kits include the can itself, and all necessary hoses and fittings to install. The install does take some mechanical knowledge, so we suggest taking your car in to a professional for installation. That being said, we provide step-by-step instructions so that enthusiasts can install the kit at home with a few simple tools.

Will the V3 work, and be the right choice, for a 2013 FXT?

Thats correct Gilby, our V3 AOS is the only one we offer for the DIT FA motor. It's our latest dual chamber design that has been on the market for 5 years now.

Location wise will the S0699 fit a 2010 FXT Engine bay the same as it would the 08-14 WRX? The FXT isn't listed under the S0699 but it is under the S0718. Just wanting to double check before I put down a deposit

is this limited to 60 orders max or is that just a number chosen based on the previous tiers?

We have sold close to 100 in the past so we are hoping for more than that this time around. We will add to the list as it grows larger than 60.

FYI, We have 350 in stock, boxed and ready to go.

Which version would recommend for a 2014 WRX that is daily driven everyday but for mostly 15-20 minutes every time and goes through cold New York winters?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe my USDM '13 FXT has the EJ25 motor. Assuming that's the case, will the V3 work or am I relegated to the V2?

I recommend our V3 as it will give you better all around performance, especially in cold climates.

I guess it depends on the date of manufacture. June of 13 is when I designed the DIT AOS when we had an FXT in the shop from SOA.

If you can post a photo of your engine then I can let you know which one you have.

Does the S0699 v3 fit the 2008 legacy gt also? I see the older v2 fits both. Thanks!

It would fit on the 2007 just fine, but you could not close the hood

We have it on our R/D list and will get it done in the next 6 months, thanks for your interest!

That is a good question, it will bolt on to the motor but the question is will the hood hit it or is it high like the 2008 Impreza. My guess is it will fit but I need to test one to be sure.

Any chance you can bring your GT by our shop in Ontario Ca?

That works as well, I will have one sent to you for a test fit then. All I ask is you please share the process / results with the Subaru community so we can all benefit from your work.

Please send an email to [email protected] with your information and it will go out on Monday.

Thanks,
QC

Don't have quick access to a photo (in the shop), but I should have mentioned it is a 2.5L engine. Clearly an EJ as I believe the FA is 2.0L.
So back to the AOS... V3 or V2?
Thanks!

If it's a 2.5 then it is an EJ for sure. That said our V3 AOS for the EJ platform will work perfect as well.
