Default Crankshaft position sensor code

ECU was throwing a code For crank sensor. Check engine light with cruise flashing in 07 impreza 2.5i non turbo. Low idle under load and hesitated for acceleration. replaced crank sensor, same issue. air intake temp was reading high with low air flow showing on MAF. Replaced MAF. resolved acceleration problem but intake temp still showing 20 degrees Celsius above ambient temp. crank sensor code was still showing up. warrantied and replaced crank sensor again. still throwing the code. Any ideas?

Chewed/chafed wiring?

Tomorrow morning go out and before starting the car, see if the ambient temp and intake temp are still grossly off. It's normal for them to vary when the intake is heat soaked and/or sucking hot air.
