Default Proto Tuning Tool (AccessPort) Holder

Well, I got this little gem from RallySportDirect and love it!

Here is the how to install and review for a 05-09 LegGT:

This is what you get in the box:

Simple instructions that give you the option for A/C vent clip or a more permanent mount that included #M tape and screws.

I opted for the clip mount.

Tried the center window vents but the holder is too heavy with the AccessPort in it.

Moved to the side vent and found good placement on the second vent fin bottom to top.

Took off the side cover and tucked the wire inside and pulled the panel where the mirror cover is and took out the cable through it.

And the final product:

In all, I love how it holds the AP and how easy it is to mount. I might try a smaller, thinner cable next. If you want to mount it any more solid, the solid mount is the way to go.

Thanks RallySportDirect for bringing this to us!

Here's my review:

Here are some photos of the Proto Tuning Tool Holder. It is an AccessPort vent mount from RallySportDirect. It is a pretty simple item, but does exactly what it is mean to do. Unlike other "universal" mounts (ie. GPS or phone mounts) it is a perfect fit for the COBB AccessPort and it allows for various mounting options.

The first, and easiest, mounting style is a simple vent clip. The tool holder also includes a mount that can be "stuck" on or screwed on. Once in place the mount has dual ball joints for a good range of adjustment and positioning, and then has a thumbscrew to hold it all where you want it. It's very easy to get it installed and setup for easy AccessPort viewing.

Here are some photos of the packaging and included items.

Comes with alcohol wipe, screw/stick on mount, screws, instructions, and AccessPort holder (with vent clip currently installed).

Here is a photo with the screw/stick on mount installed.

Here it is with an AccessPort.

Back View.

And here are a couple shots mounted in my car.

And in my brother's 2011 MS3.
