Isn't this going to be a bitch to keep clean?

Was thinking about doing some of this to my motorcycle, but wondered if there were any drawbacks? I see some of you say it's a bitch to keep clean....how so? Are there any other draw backs? How does one remove the stuff if need be? Thanks for any input!

And BTW, your car looks great from that shot, how's it look a little closer up if you don't mind me askin?

I will try and post a link to my you tube video of the walk around. It does not look bad at all upclose. my rims are done with the same paint and they do get dirty quick, but with a quick spray of the hose they are clean again!

I understand painting small parts that don't get abused much but painting a whole car or rims doesn't seem practical to me.

Like others said it is so hard to keep this thing clean, it attracts the dirt.

Im cool with everyones opinions but personally it is my car and my problem to keep clean. Best part of this whole thing is if I get tired of it I can peel it off! So like I said I dont mind others opinions and if you dont like it thats fine I drive it, not you

I totally agree! I bought VHT night shades to tint them darker to blend with the car. Have not done that yet. lol

Having some experience with flat paint jobs in the past I'll let you know that a"wash" is not the best thing to do. I don't know about plasitdip, but ask anyone who has spayed their vehicle with hot rod flatz paint and you'll find most of them do spot cleaning with Windex. You might want to give that a shot

I like your end result. And after all it is your car. The "Honda" insults I guess I'll just never get. I think it's funny how high some in the subie community hold this brand over others. I loved all my Honda's and my wrx. But you can't beat the reliability of even a seriously built Honda. Wish I could say the same for all the flat fours I see popped @ 50k miles and some ever sooner.

Sorry for the rant... just gets old lol!

Thats cute that 2 kids made the exact same post, I think it came out good man, cleaning it would be my only concern too though, I wanted to do white plastidip to my last car but never did

Its all good, thanks for the info on spot cleaning though. I dont plan to do full washes on it. I did my rims with plasti dip but I just give them a quick spray with the hose and they look good to me lol I dont get the honda insults either but like I said their opinion Thanks again!

All fun and games until it starts to peel off by itself.... or you leave it on too long and can't peel it off.

Works great for restoring NLA BMW bumper trim, doesn't work great for entire cars.
