Default Wash->Travel->Dirty Again

So I travel a good bit for both work and pleasure. I will often do a wash before travelling but hate showing up and the front end being covered in bugs....Ive seen people do the blue painters tape cover but i was wondering what you guys suggest? Keep in mind I cant exactly wash the car when I get where I'm going so thats part of the predicament

I've done blue tape for longer trips to car shows. Even in the hottest weather I've never had a problem when I had to take it off.

if you properly wax your car, bugs won't stick.. i'm not say a coat a week. I'm saying 2-3 coats a week to make sure it's completely covered. followed by some quick detailer when you're at the gas station.

use to run the car show circuit and the biggest trick was to wax wax wax. eventually everything just slides off the car with ease.

you can seriously wax the car for a week straight.. which will last a while if the sun isn't too crazy.
I would do this and once I get to where I want to be, power wash the car at a self serve bay.. touch free, just rinse. you'll see everything (including caked bird ****) slide right off. followed by drying immediately with MF's.

or just use glossers and quick detailer (making sure you go cleanest sections to dirtiest... flipping and using new MF's every few panels to avoid scratching up the paint)

I actually agree with itstony. If I go on long trips the car is ready for show when it leaves the house and when I get to my destination I bring quick detail or whichever you choose and spray the whole car down. Also bring a few micro fibers incase and redo the windows (thats just me lol) and it only takes 10-15 mins really for a whole car wipedown just to get the bugs, dust and anything thats on the car. Car is shiny again just like it left the house and ready for more show
