1998 JDM WRX GF8

Question Up pipe and down pipe question...

Hi all, I been searching for an answer.

I have a JDM GF8 MY98 fully stock, TD04.

The question is, does the uppipe has a catalyzer or a flex joiner?

Because I am looking for a catalyzer but I think there isn't. It has to be very little to fit there.

What do they mean?

Now, on the middle section, is there another catalyzer or a silencer?

Thanks for the help.

The JDM Uppipe should not have any catalytic converters in them. And I do think they have a metal flex joint, but not 100% sure on that.
And a catalytic converter will help burn off un-burnt fuel, and convert some harmful chemicals into less harmful ones.
And your downpipe should have 1 cat in it and will be a bit longer than the USDM length downpipes. So if you were wanting to hook up a USDM length catback, you would want to get a USDM length downpipe as well. Other than that all of the exhaust parts from the 02-07 WRX will bolt right up, minus one hanger on the catback exhaust.

Hope this helps.
