Default Works Bell Resistor Install Help

I bought a Works Bell steering boss with an aftermarket steering wheel. The kit came with a resistor in order to defeat the airbag light, however it didn't come with any instructions on how to actually install it. Unfortunately I'm a complete idiot when it comes to wiring and I have no idea what to do. Here are the two airbag connectors (car is an '06 Impreza).

And here is the resistor

Is the black connector simply a ground? Or do I need two resistors. I'm completely lost.

The black connector is a resistor that is connected to one of the connectors and it doesn't tie to ground. I checked the wiring diagram for your vehicle and it doesn't really indicate much about the two connections. I assume the pins of the resistor leads push into one of the connectors. You might need two resistors so you can plug one resistor into each connector. I suggest you call the company to see if you can find out more information. Looking at the resistor it looks like there may be a diode in one of the leads also. That would most likely mean the direction of the wiring connection would be needed also.

The resistor might be a 3.3 ohm resistor. If you do need another one you could purchase one from a locale store.

Your 06 has a dual stage airbag, hence the 2 connectors. You need 2 resistors.

They are 3 ohm resistors.
