Default Lock/Unlock not working after adding adding LED to door switch

Recently completed the DIY door switch mod to add backlighting to the drivers side door. I followed the method outlined in the post listed below. Everything went pretty smooth, LED's fired right up and the switch looks pretty cool. After I got my door back together I noticed one issue. When the key is turned to accessory or ignition and I press the lock/unlock button, the car will lock and then immediately unlock. It will not stay in one position. This does not happen when the key is not in the ignition, the lock works normally. I have checked and rechecked all of my connections thinking I may have something grounding or shorting and I cannot find any obvious errors. I am at a loss and hope that someone with some electrical knowledge may be able to help. If I have left out any info that would help diagnose the issue please let me know. Thanks for any help!!

It does that to keep you from locking your keys in your car. Most new cars have that now as well. My 06 WRX and my wife's 05 forester do it. It is normal. Maybe you did not notice it until just now...?
