Cleaned my engine, finally. It needed it, and it worked like a charm (scrubbing bubbles that is)

I've debated getting the hitch for my BRZ. It's only 10 lbs, but does require some cutting of the bumper crash beam. It's hidden, though, which is cool.

I got new wheels (99% sure I'm sticking with these for now).

Yeah the ride is pretty floaty. I promised I wouldn't abuse the tires, so it's been interesting being forced to drive like a sane person for once. Kinda like having my wings clipped.

Scrubbing bubbles foaming cleaner. Sprayed on, let sit for about 5 minutes then hosed off.

I thought it might. I didn't think of it at the time but I have some summer tires you can have, if you want to swap them on before you get your winters.

Has anyone done a 5 manual tran swap to a 6 speed transmission? I think my car is putting out to much power for my transmission and I heard the 6 speeds hold up better. Never have drag raced my car because I'm scared of dropping my transmission.

6-speed Aisin transmission is much nicer than the 5-speed. If you can get your hands on one then do it.

From what I recall, the 2008-2014 WRX/STI chassis were built from 2005-2009 Legacy chassis, so you'll want to research if your LGT mates most easily to those years, although I believe the transmission has been the same for the STI since its debut anyways.

Feel free to cruise by my shop anytime, AK Boardroom on 4th Avenue downtown. I've had more than a few people stop by in the last few days since I did the install to hear the new engine/exhaust noise. I will gladly rev it up for ya haha.

Flex pipe split on my one piece headers. Had to de tune and re install stock manifolds. 06 STI. I guess I'll leave it that way for winter. No need for all that power on the ice. I will miss the sound however.

Getting back to working on my T-belt replacement. Here's the block and pump surfaces all cleaned up. Also, I planned on checking the screws on the oil pump, and loctite-ing them securely when I replaced the o-ring. Glad I checked.

After exactly 2 years and 45k miles of ownership, I've FINALLY purchased my first engine performance mod.

It won't ship until the end of the month though.
