Default 95 legacy at oil temp just purchased from dealer

So I just posted a thread a few days ago double checking some rust that wasn't really rust - I bought the vehicle. 95 legacy lsi. I even ran a carfax on it and it checked out way better than expected.

I drove it from the dealer about 30 miles away to a show. when I got in the car again to drive home the check engine light came on code P0400 egr system. Not as worried about this since the dealer is obligated to fix it within 30 days.

But, also at this time the at oil temp light did the dreaded 16 flashes and went off. I did notice a bit of bind during sharp turns during the test drives but I didn't think it was that bad since theres no slipping in the transmission or anything beyond that, aside from a slightly rough "D" to "P" shift. Obviously I don't know a lot about this stuff or it would have worried me more.

Tranny fluid is full and not burnt, oil is a bit low. I've read this could be something like the duty C solenoid or just a sensor. I'm just gonna have to take it back to him or a subaru dealer I assume but I just wanted to see if anyone has had any similar symptoms and what ended up being their problem.
