Noise at drivers side window
I think I have found a way to get rid of the noise that we often here when we roll down the drivers side window. Open the door and roll down the window a little bit and pull back on it. Not to much you don't want to break the window, just enough to realign it back. From now on before you roll up your window open the door first then roll it up and close it. I did that I and I havne't heard a sound from it since. It might work for you. I got my MY02 RS in January so my car is new, I don't know about other models. Just be careful not to totally offset you window and have it drop into the door.
Good Luck!

If it's the squeaking noise that mine starting making, a quick squirt of silicone spray lube (actually, I just used Armorall Protectant pump spray) in the slot of the rubber weatherstripping just above the triangle at the front of the door solved my problem (just clean off any that gets on the visible glass).

window squeak
Squirt it in with the window up or down? Mine's making that squeaking noise, too, it's annoying! Thanks

I agree with the Armorall solution, works great, no more squeak.
It's not necessary to spray it in there, if you look at the rubber piece in the front corner there's only the outer lip that actually contacts the window. Just put some Armorall on a small piece of rag or towel and apply it to the inner surface of that lip (with the window open of course). Wipe off any excess that gets on the outside, and voila! Quiet. |

One Problem that I had also was that there was a loud rattle and I took off the door pannel and found a loose bolt holding in the drive. all Fixed
