Default Aeroforce Interceptor Gauges

Has anyone got these? It would be great to know if you get many useful parameters out of the OBDII for an 02-05 WRX (Particularly FBKC and FLKC).

I contacted the vendor in the past to see what parameters you could get on the WRX. Here's the list they sent me:

Intake air temp
Coolant temp
Mass Air Flow (MAF)
Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) – this will be displayed as both absolute and boost pressure -if car has a MAP sensor
Ignition advance
Long term fuel trims
Short term fuel trims
O2 sensor mv’s
Closed/Open loop fueling status
Engine load
Throttle %
MPH
RPM
HP
MPG
Air Fuel ratio*
Battery Voltage*
Engine Run Time*
Commanded A/F ratio*
Analog input 1
Analog input 2
*Not all cars support these parameters

There's also a youtube video they have on their STI:

I thought having two of these would be pretty awesome in the SMY Cluster, but I have yet to buy these so I can't offer a personal opinion regarding the overall quality.

Those Aeroforce gauges look interesting, it'd be nice to hear if anyone has any personal exp with one.

From what I've read the problem with these gauges getting info from the OBD2 port is that, for say the A/F or boost, the data rate isn't fast enough to be of any help because of the lag. I was gonna go with a PLX DM-100 with the wideband module to do A/F and all the other readings in one pod and a traditional boost gauge in the other (for the PLX you could also buy the boost sensor module to get past this).

Along the lines of the Aeroforce there is the UltraGauge that seems to do the same except in a bigger display albeit maybe a bit bulkier. Here is a picture of one in an SMY pod.

Just some food for thought...

This is the beauty of the Aeroforce gauges as well. Each Interceptor has two analog inputs that can be setup to work with one of their sensor modules. IE boost, & oil pressure.

Thanks man. Yea, I too contacted them (via their forum) to inquire about the FBKC. FBKC is not supported at this time though the rep on the forum said that he wants to add it in.

I like the Ultragauge because of it's price, but the all in one capability of the Aeroforce gauge means you won't be cluttering up your dash w/gauges.

I also read on their forums (http://aeroforcetech.com/forum/viewt...1173&view=next) that if you got an Analogic gauge to complement the Interceptor, it'll do some cool things that the PLX gauges do: a peak recall, a two parameter scrolling graph, a 4 parameter bar graph, and a six parameter screen. The Peak recall and scrolling graph features seem like a really nice feature for when you're trying to pay attention to the road.

That would be awesome. I've been planning on using the 4 analog inputs (with 2 interceptor gauges) for boost, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and AFR. I'd really like to see knock and knock learning added to the list.

On a side note, my co-worker has one in his MS6 which I've looked at pretty closely, and it updates several times per second through the OBD2 port when looking at boost and AFR. He has no analog inputs as of now.

I've got one of these in my Trans Am. I love it. Great gauge. Looking at adding one to the Soob.
