Default wagon hatch stuck

Hey guys I've been searching but can't find the thread to fix this issue. I have a saab 9-2x aero with the back hatch stuck closed. I've opened a couple times before with the metal tab through the hole in the back but this time its stuck good. I've tried and tried unfortunately I managed to bend the tab. Do you guys have any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated because I have a two year old and I need that room. Thanks in advance.

Short term, maybe have someone push down from outside and use the tab again.

Once open, is likely either the locking mechanism needs to be lubed or the strike pin needs to be adjusted.
If it's a cable that does the unlock, it may need a lube as well, check it with the hatch open.
