Default 04 imprezza and classing

Picking up a 04 impreza this weekend and plan to make it a beater/autox machine. Right now it is stock expect it has dc axleback and I plan on getting 2011 wrx stock wheels. How would this affect classing?

DC axle-back is Stock legal, 2011 WRX wheels move you all the way to Street Prepared. My recommendation? Run the 2011 wheels on the street and get another set of tires for the stock wheels for autocross. Then you can run G-Stock or RTA with a G-Stock Index.

Stay in stock or touring classes. Any higher and you would need to spend considerably more $$ to compete. With it being a beater you would probably want to stay in stock classes anyhow. However, Touring class is fun as you get to do much more with the suspension.

IMO...dont even look at class...

If its a beater, gut it, mod it and jump into whatever modified class you slide into. While it may seem like I am kidding...im not...
