Default 24mm Whiteline Front Sway Installed?

I bought a Whiteline 24 mm front sway bar (BSF41Z) and haven't been able to snake it through the available space in my '17 Outback. Has anybody here successfully done the install on a 6th gen Legacy or 5th gen Outback? If so, I'd like to know how you did it. The hoop that zigs around the oil pan (a feature not present on the stock bar) hits when I try to orient the arms to clear. I've taken off the protective cover under the steering rack, but that doesn't provide enough room. The only way I can see to do it would be to lift the engine, which I'm not equipped or inclined to do.
