Default 1999 forester Need help finding the right tires

I need some help finding the right wheel and tire sizes. I have a 1999 forester with 2002 wrx wagon struts and springs with rear wrx tophats.

I would like to find some wider tires with a lower profile and want to be able to fit 17"s

This is my first time upgrading tires other than stock size that are 205/70/15 is I remember right

Anything helps

Look at what setups guys are using on 2.5rs of that generation. Basically stock wrx sizes will work

Tire calculator says +2 = 215/55R17

You could go wider with a 225/50R17 but IIRC, the 225 is the widest you can fit under the SF chassis without modification.
