Exclamation Reapply Zaktek?

Just looking to see if anyone went back to their dealer, to reapply Zaktek? I thought the recommendation was every 3 months?

Maybe someone can chime in; that has used it long term? If so what is the protection like? thanks in advance.

If you don't care about your paint, then sure, take your car in and let them buff some "sealant" aka synthetic car wax onto your paint. Can you say 'paint swirls'?

A lot of dealers push Zaktek or something similar because they make money off it.

Honestly, I don't let the dealer touch my paint. I wont even let them wash it after a service. Your paint would be better off if you yourself did a wash, clay bar, polish, and wax to seal it once a year. Then between clay bars do car washes and apply wax when your car doesn't feel silky smooth anymore.

Then again it is a Subaru and if paint swirls and the status of your paint doesn't rank high on your list, then take it to the nearest full service car wash and let them have at it.

I would save the money at the dealer and use it to buy your own supplies to do a similar service yourself. I promise you can do it just as well or better with higher quality materials. These recurring "services" at dealers are generally meh. I put it right up there with undercoating that they used to sell.
