Default NY: 2002 WRX Sedona Red Pearl (Stock)

2002 Subaru WRX Sedona Red Pearl Wagon
161,480 miles
VIN: JF1GG29602G825789
Asking $6,000

I have owned the car since August 2007 or 48k miles, second owner. Original owner was a woman from Connecticut. I have a daily commute of 140 miles so the mileage on the car is obviously all highway. I have moved on to a diesel VW for mpg considerations but will be back to a Subaru in the future. The car has been great for me, and will continue to be for the next owner. I have always put 91/93 octane in the car. Never in an accident. Just had it professionally detailed. Car is located in Wallkill, NY

Exterior: 8/10

The car has the normal dings on the aluminum hood, front and rear bumpers for its age. Small dent on the roof near the roof railing. Small spot of rust near the gas cap (minor surface rust).

Interior: 9.5/10

The interior is in very good shape. You would be hard pressed to find a better interior in a 2002 WRX. Minor wear on the drivers seat. Small scratches on the interior of the rear passengers side door. OEM blow off valve. I replaced the digital clock after it burned out about a year ago. Never smoked in.

Mods

The only thing I ever did to the car was put a cat-back exhaust on (for about a year) and now the OEM exhaust is on there. Also, the fog bulbs were switched to a green tint bulb. Also, the snorkel for the air box has been deleted.

The original owner had a sunroof installed by Webasto when she bought it. The glass panel actually has a recall notice on it but I have never gotten around to having it replaced. I don't use the sunroof normally. I will forward all of the recall information on to the buyer.

New windshield (Safelite) in February of 2010 thanks to someone who didn’t clear the ice off of their roof and then decided to get on the highway.

Service History

I have only put 5W-30 Mobil One Synthetic in the car since i've owned it (changed every 5K).
Timing belt done at 105K
- also replaced water pump, tensioners, pulleys, spark plugs, thermostat
New fuel pump in April 2012
New spark plugs in April 2013
New struts all around in November 2012
- new strut mounts on the front struts
Tires have about 6K miles on them (Continental Extremecontact DWS 205/55/zr16)
Brake pads were replaced in april 2013
- also replaced the front ABS sensors
New headlight bulbs in September 2013
I replace the cabin filter approximately every 30k.
I flushed the transmission oil and replaced with Redline Synthetic 75W90 about 20k ago.

Issues

In full disclosure, the car needs a CV joint for the front passenger side ( I would do both [whole axle] if it were me doing it). The boot is ripped. You can feel it when you hit a bump. Found the axle online for $194 (subarugenuineparts.com).

The clutch is original, which should be a testament to how the car has been driven by me. However, it does shudder some if you're stuck in traffic for a while. If you plan on beating on the car hard or launching it, you will need a new clutch sooner rather than later.

Overall, it has been an extremely reliable vehicle for me. Great in the snow and fun to drive. Sorry for the dim photos, when it stops raining here ill get some clearer pics for anyone who wants them.

I would suggest adding that this is a WAGON -- (a big PLUS in my book) -- not sure how you can edit the title, but at least you can probably include it in the main description.

Looks very nice!
